From Cracozia to VP of Business Club 2.0: the Home Page of Andrey Golub

Do you remember Cracozia of Tom Hanks
(from The Terminal)?
So I am from there :)

  • That's almost true about "Cracozia", in my case it's the story of an ex-"homus sovieticus" :)

I was born in Kazakhistan (here on the map) from a Russian father and Ukrainian mother, when we all still lived as a "big and happy family" called USSR. Then we lived all the time in Belarus, which I successfully left few years ago, happy about it, and it seems there is no way back.

  • My way to Business Club 2.0?

The story is about a young post-PhD strudent guy that worked for some big software house companies, first as Software Engineer. Sometimes they called me even "spammer", 'coz I was probably too much communicative person for a yesterday's student that works as Software Engineer at a large Software House, where the most processes are formalized, automated and certified...
...but the times have changed. Thanks to my professional, personal, communicational and leadership skills (as they said later), I've been promoted very quickly to Project Coordinator & Team Leader role, with delegation to manage some non-standard projects.

Some later, when I understood that "there is not enough room for me" in the automated- software- factory, as well as in the ex-USSR, I've moved with my family to Italy- one of the most exciting country in the world!

Here I found "the world of my dimension", "Dolce Vita", new opportunities, friendly and beautiful people, the nature one in the USSR could only dream about, the beautiful language and much more!

Sure it didn't happen in one day, but after 2 years of working in research on the fields of AI and living in the beautiful place Trento in the North of Italy, then a difficult career at some R&D technological start-ups. And I was always trying to promote the Software Development in Outsourcing, that I believe is very important thing for all Italian IT today.

Milan is the city I love so much, it's the commercial and entrepreneurial capital of Italy, and probably one of the pest place in Europe for the people like me, always looking for the new exciting Quests!

And my quest has come to me: after all this IPTV, VoIP, ERP, blah-blah-blah stuff I've found my "thing to die for”- it's called SOCIAL COMPUTING!

No one calls me "spammer" anymore :)

Spammers of today are different,- they're annoying (and they send you spam ). But NETWORKING is the best way to contact people, not just because of their companies/ services, but also for their teams, projects, ideas, dreams... And so I am here! Social Communication Mobile and Web 2.0

Social Computing, the idea to put together the technology and individuals or/and communities. The basic instinct of all humans is to Socialize=To-Do-Networking, now with applied the modern communication technology and all Web 2.0- that's what I was looking for!

Social Communication in the 2.0 World (Live, Web and Mobile)!

The recent fact from my bio will be that Milan-IN (started as Business Networking Club and we could promote it towards LinkedIn Italia OFFICIAL supporter Club), is the project that has given me the chance to access all that from above and even more.

That's why I am here, I am always here  (here=on-line). So you may always count on you me, if you're like me- fight for better Social Computing, Social Web, Social Networking, Free Open-Source, and so on. The things that can make this world better, if everyone will participate!

Well from the recent "achievements" there is one thing thatI call "who could ever dream about such a success?", it's my recent AWARD Who's Who in the World!. There is nothing else to say, somebody has just known that I honestly work to make this world better? ;)
