I am crazy for The rise of the semantic web, but I bet it won't be the pure SEMANTIC Web, but a mix of Semantic Web with Web 2.0! ... the next generation of Web, after Web 2.0, not yet happened Semantic (pure). And taking into account all that happens now with Social Web, that becomes OPEN Social Web, an interoperable Social Web etc.
And I see the fundamental role of SPOCK, People Search Enging 2.0, in making this revolution now! Look- the projects like Facebook do not really need Semantics :), but a Search Engine- YES! and for People Search Engine it could be even more easy to implement an Ontology or let's say a logical tree of all the items related to the PERSON as main object for Spock.
