(from e-mail, sorry for formating plz!)

IEEE.tv™ - PROGRAM GUIDE

IEEE.tv is free with your IEEE membership. Since its official launch in 2007, IEEE.tv has significantly expanded its program menu, and offers both public-access and exclusive, members-only programming. Additionally, all IEEE.tv programs are available for download to members with an active, IEEE web account.

setting priorities, working with all sorts of people, learning to negotiate,
developing leadership skills, and dealing with stress in the workplace.

• Diab and Frazier - Ethernet in the First Mile (Member Access) - In this
program, authors Wael Diab and Howard Frazier discuss their book, Ethernet in
the First Mile: Access for Everyone. Ethernet in the First Mile: Access for
Everyone brings the Ethernet in the First Mile standard (IEEE Std 802.3ah) to
life by explaining the principles behind the standard, presenting the
technology tradeoffs that led to standardization, and detailing all aspects of
the standard necessary for end users, deployers, service providers, IT
professionals, and students.

• Mark I. Montrose - Testing for EMC Compliance (Member Access) - In this
interview, Mark I. Montrose describes the details of his book "Testing for EMC
Compliance: Approaches and Techniques."

• Marks and Stanwood - WirelessMAN: Inside the IEEE 802.16 Standard (Member
Access) - In this program, co-authors Roger Marks and Kenneth Stanwood discuss
their book, WirelessMAN: Inside the IEEE 802.16 Standard for Wireless
Metropolitan Area Networks.

• Mostafa H. Sherif - Managing Projects in Telecommunications Services (Member
Access) - In this interview, Mostafa Hashem Sherif discusses his book "Managing
Projects in Telecommunications Services". This book effectively demonstrates the
unique requirements of projects in telecommunication services and, consequently,
the benefits of an integrated approach to project management that is
specifically tailored to the telecommunications industry.

• Richard J. Thompson Jr. - Crystal Clear (Member Access) - In this interview,
Richard J. Thompson, Jr. discusses his book Crystal Clear: The Struggle for
Reliable Communications Technology in World War II.

• Richard Schreier Ph.D - Understanding Delta Sigma Data Converters (Member
Access) - In this interview, Richard Schreier, Ph.D discusses his book
Understanding Delta Sigma Data Converters.

SPECIALS

• IEEE in China (Member Access) - This program discusses the opportunities for
the IEEE in the People's Republic of China.

• Profiles in Volunteering (Member Access) - This production highlights the
importance of volunteering with the IEEE. This is the first of a 3-part series
focusing on skill building and leadership.

• Care Innovations Green Engineering - Designing for sustainability is the
focus of this short program aimed at the general public. Experts discuss the
technical challenges of greening the entire chain, from raw materials to
manufacturing, distribution, and disposal.

• Care Innovations Responsibility For Being Green - This program takes a look
at the challenge of minimizing the environmental and health impacts of
electronics manufacturing. Discussions focus on the responsibility of industry,
government, academia, and the general public to foster the development of public
policy and the enforcement of laws to safeguard health and the environment.

• Care Innovations Toxics In Electronics - This program takes a look at the
challenge of minimizing the environmental and health impacts of toxics in
electronics. It explains to what extent toxics are involved in the
manufacturing process of various electronic devices and further explains the
current practices in controlling and disposing toxics during the manufacturing
process.

• Care Innovations WEEE and RoHs(e-waste recycling and disposal) - This
program will introduce the general public to WEEE and RoHs, including brief
background information about these directives, their goals and impact.

• Energy Innovations The Hydrogen House - The Energy Innovations series
profiles fascinating and innovative approaches to meeting our growing energy
needs. In this program, Mike Stritzki had a dream. As a tenacious engineer, he
was determined to realize it with his own hands. Thus was born the first
"hydrogen house" in the United States, designed and built in pastoral Hopewell,
New Jersey. An astonishing technical achievement lies in the bucolic setting: a
house with all the modern conveniences, but run entirely by the sun.

• Group on Earth Observations (GEOSS) - To coordinate the collecting and
analysis of data on our environment, the intergovernmental Group on Earth
Observations (GEOSS) is leading a worldwide effort to build a Global Earth
Observation System of Systems over the next 10 years to help study and manage
the world’s resources and disaster prediction and recovery. This program is
about the political challenges of developing this global information service
that includes satellite-based remote sensing technologies for data collection
and analysis.

• Group on Earth Observations(GEOSS) Applications - People are increasingly
aware of the environment and the impact of war, pollution, natural disasters,
and urban development on the environment. But there is less awareness of how
scientists and engineers are using satellites and remote sensing technology to
document, analyze and solve global problems.

• Group on Earth Observations (GEOSS) Technology - Remote Sensing technology
revolutionized mankind's ability to observe and measure the earth, the land,
the seas, and the atmosphere. Recorded at the IEEE 2006 International
Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, this program includes interviews with
several prominent scientists and engineers to gain a snapshot of recent
developments in Remote Sensing.
