Currently, rich media and video are emerging on the internet. Development costs are very high as media management and automated video transcoding tools are tailor made.
This is where MediaDepot© enters the stage.
We offer all functionalities to create media portals and communities where users can create their own profile, upload media, comment to media, give ratings etc.
We accept all kinds of media, we deliver to cellphones, iPod, internet, narrowcasting systems etc. Everything in, everything out.
You define the settings and quality, MediaDepot© takes care of transcoding, (decentralized) distribution, play-out and archiving.
In most cases our clients prefer to work with web-developers of their own choice, so we have created an API in PHP to easily deploy media. If a client prefers to work in a different environment, there is also an XML layer available, created on top of the PHP API which will give him/her access to the media as well. the client can then use any environment that works with XML.
On top of this XML layer, there is a second PHP API that enables remote servers to access the media in the client’s MediaDepot©. This way, the client can license content to third parties. They can display the media in their own branding. But the client’s MediaDepot© controls the traffic and owns the play-out statistics, even if the media is stored on the third party’s servers.
In The Netherlands MediaDepot© is used under license by national broadcasters, video production companies, commercial retailers, media distribution companies, charity organizations etc.
The MediaDepot© philosophy archers in controlled high quality play-out thru any thinkable screen, an easy to use management and editorial interface which gives you total control on metadata and distribution and complete independency of third party video encoding and / or play-out services.
To introduce MediaDepot© to the rest of Europe we is seeking strong partners and resellers particularly in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Sweden.
