Opportunities and experiences in the digital era of the retail business

Avoiding to develop customer relationships is almost a crime in the digital era, when you should be always connected with the consumers by e mail, social networks and sms.  Encouraging multiple shopping trips to the same store for the same consumer is easier than getting a new customer. In this environment it is critical to get new systems and processes in order to enable the shopping experience and collecting its inputs.
 
This subject is introduced by Alessandro Da Cortà author of  "Il retail nell'era digitale. Opportunità ed esperienze", in charge of  the Inventory Audit Retail Service at Luxottica .
 
Maurizio Acerboni – PLM Business Manager , SIT Engineering Solutions- is going to speak about  “The PLM approach in the retail business: managing the process of product development starting from the customer idea”. “Customer satisfaction”  means  identifying and managing the customer expectations at the same time. The whole product lifecycle should be integrated with the market needs strictly, following the changes and picking the hints to innovate.
 
Daniele Villa - Global Brand Manager - Amplifon
Company case history:  how media integration and an integrated touch points strategy with the consumers is improving not only the visibility of the company and brand awareness but also is pushing more potential customers into the stores. It is interesting to notice that the Amplifon customer (target over 65), is evolving into a deeper digital interaction with the retail world.
