Just got now this strange message from the person I know and respect so much for the years, Marc Freedman, with the subject that has put me in a shock:
Italy LinkedIn update
Want to avoid LinkedIn Introductions that are delayed or never acted on? We now offer a range of LinkedIn groups.
Italy. Network directly with area executives and professionals at URL
Well, I have nothing against anybody else in the world to create a new LinkedIn "networking group" for Italian people... but please not again just a group on LinkedIn to link all people together. what for? to "network better"? :(
It's all after Milan-IN has become the officially recognized Supporter Club for LinkedIn in Italy, has a Board that makes strategic decisions for the Club and LinkedIn Evangelism movement in Italy, has an Org-Team that works on promoting LinkedIn in Italy and in general Business Networking in Italy by means of Milan-IN... and after that we've made few hundreds of Business Networking Events of all kinds in the past 3 years?
so of course the only thing I could do was to respond to Marc asking him if he still remembers that Milan-IN isn't "another LinkedIn Groups in Italy", like he said in his newsletter:
Other Italy LinkedIn Groups:
- Professional People in Urbe
- Solacria
- Tecnalia
- Friends of Piemonte
- Milan-IN
- UniBO Alumni
- A. I. Alumni
- AMC - Associazione Master CUOA
- Organisation for a New Equilibrium
but is a Business Networking Club 2.0, recognized by LinkedIn.
I hope we'll be able to build some strong collaboration between DallasBlue and Milan-IN. I know Marc for many years- he's a business man not just "OPEN" Networker like many other who just connect to everyone and believe this makes their "business" network more powerful :)
P.S. this my "explanation" I address it first of all to those trusted LinkedIn Members of Italy who, I am sure, were not much happy the same as me, to read that there are some OTHER Groups about LinkedIn Networking in Italy like MilanIN and others.
