It is true Ecademy is seeking a strategic partner to grow faster

There was a rumor recently today, and now it's confirmed personally by Thomas Power.

Ecademy, a social networking site for the business community set up at the height of the dotcom boom by husband and wife team Thomas and Penny Power, is considering putting itself up for sale. It is thought the business could fetch as much as £20m. The company is understood to have hired corporate finance boutique Unity Capital to advise on a potential deal.

The company, which claims to have 100,000 members, enables business people to develop individual online networks to make contacts through its website. It also has forums and blogs for professionals in various industries.

It's nice that some people say they're part of Ecademy so Thomas P. could not sell also them... That's funny.

It's strange some people do not understand there is a big business behind, it's not just “a nice platform” for them :), there is a complex business machine moving it all. Users pay their money and then several people have their salary payed from those $$$... The rest comes to the great Thomas? :)

well, I was never mixing Ecademy with the enthusiasm like on MilanIN, or the other strong and emotional concepts... There was always a good business from Ecademy! (well, "always"- in my case means since the years I've started using it).
