LEADING Scientists of the World- 2008
I think 2008 is my lucky year, guys! It seems that my work "for the better World" (jokes apart!) is finally bringing some fruits. No, these fruits aren't money, and I honestly don't believe it's really possible to earn some good money while HONESTLY believing in a Better World and being an Evangelist. However...
- The 2008 started for me with the greatest ever present one could get from the Life- my inclusion to the Who's Who in the World, 2008 by Marquis Who's Who! WoW, it was so much exciting! The first so much serious AWARD in my life!
btw, there is one strange thing about the International Biographical Centre if you'll be looking at it on wikipedia- some people pay to get included and get assigned some "specially generated" AWARDS. I find it quite stupid and don't really need any special (even cool) AWARD if it's something that needs to be payed for and it's something "created on demand for you". so trust me it's not my case :)
And so now on this week-end I am getting a letter that states for my inclusion in another great list-
IBC comments they admire my achievements on the field of Social Computing.
Of course I realize I am not exactly the classical Research Scientist, but taking into account the SOCIAL nature of the most projects I am involved in, I think the wikipedia's definition for the Scientist term in the broadest sense, is something that really suites me. Would you agree?
here is the intro, and I really love this statement-
- These are people whose daily work makes a difference!
