everyone here is used to use TinyURL.com service to shorten the Web URLs to be then shared with the friends and on the web, right?

Today (I believe few hrs ago)  the guys have introduced a nice enhancement for their service 2.0: CUSTOM ALIAS for your URL to get shorten. it works easy-
