a Belgian start-up launching the first global micro-job market place.
...that seems to be very interesting news, and the idea will be probably very useful for lots of people! I do not think there is really something new on the level of idea... but anyways it's an important news for everybody!
Pajamanation is the first global, auction-based electronic market place of microjobs (small jobs outsourced to homeworkers) for homeworkers.
Pajamanation functions as a network for both workers and companies. Users can work from home, in their pajamas if they want, with projects from all over the world. Business managers see Pajamanation as a micro-procurement solution to solve bottlenecks in their companies, such as the realization of jobs or projects that are too small to hire someone or not being done because they fall between two job descriptions. It will enhance the efficiency and the competitiveness of those companies. Examples of the kind of jobs we are already attracting include: - translation - website development - copy-writing - desk research - tele-sales - secretarial and accounts
But there are plenty of more exotic requests already too, such as shopping-bag design, bi-lingual interviewers, or mystery shoppers... Just check it!
P.S. Thanks to Cathy Dobson for pushing me to check this out :)
Thanks for the write-up Andrey. I think there will be a big demand for this service in the near future so I've joined to help develop the UK end of it.

Thank you Andy,
I'll be working with Cathy to understand if MilanIN community or at least one of its Leaders there could be useful to "cover better" the Italian side of this project.
We all wish you the best success! And it would be nice to connect to speak better about the subject. I'll send you a connection request on LD via Cathy.
