In the past we already had some bad experience with wikipedia (its Italian edition), when trying to link Milan-IN to Social Networks there (in different ways, all failed).
That time, after ~a month of "negotiations", we understood that "they do not want us" so we stopped. The most curious thing was that we've got a comment from some wiki's official high-level manager of Italy, that was "we have no control on it" (for Italy over wiki in general, and for wiki over community managing it). And some other similar comments, I do not remember all details anymore, but one may want to read the complete story in Italian written by Pier Carlo,- Wikipedia: la DIS-Informazione.
Now, when Milan-IN has become an OFFICIAL LinkedIn Club of Italy, we believe that also wiki will stop ignoring/fighting (?) us, there is no reason anymore.
And in order to try: http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linkedin
In Italia
A Milano è attivo un club (MilanIn) che offre agli utenti la possibilità di incontrarsi. Questo Club è il primo al mondo ad essere stato riconosciuto ufficialmente da LinkedIn come suo Club ufficiale.
"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win!" :)
