I was writing some time recently about that Google is launching its own Social Web middle-ware platform called OpenSocial, in this article. And the article was commented today about that the list of Google's Partners in this project is not correct in the publication I re-posted from GigaOM.
We talk about Social Networks- partners of Google, not their development partners. Thank you for the comments guys.
What I have discovered so far is that from the recent updates about Google's OpenSocial platform, particularly this one of Techcrunch.com- "Details Revealed: Google OpenSocial To Launch Thursday",
Launch Partners
Partners are in two categories: hosts and developers. Hosts are the participating social networks, and include Orkut, Salesforce, LinkedIn, Ning, Hi5, Plaxo, Friendster, Viadeo and Oracle.
And the prevoiusly spread on the Web list was like this-
Joining Google and its Orkut social network are other partners such as XING, Friendster, hi5, LinkedIn, Plaxo, Newsgator and Ning.
I do not have any judgement about ORACLE's role and we'll see later about Salesforce and Ning, but the fact that Viadeo is IN and Xing is OUT means something guys?
