Spock Tags: Spock says- they SPEAK ITALIAN. And you?

I can't stop repeating to all my friends and Blog readers, that SPOCK is the Revolution, it's the real Killer Application for the Web 2.0, and for myself- it's probably one of the most useful 2.0 services I've every met. And there is one another thing that's very important for my life philosophy- Spock is FREE, it's GLOBAL, it's OPEN, it's a Who's Who for everyone!

Well, I said these things several times already. And today I wanna speak about another thing- it will be a just for fun post :)

So don't you guys think that appear on the Home Page of a "killer application" for the Web 2.0 is REALLY COOL?!

I think it's quite cool :)

And in this particular case it's two times more exciting, since the Home Page of Spock is not just a static page with a brand logo, but always brings something new from the heart of Spock, it's huge database of the people worldwide.

And this morning the query was SPEAKS ITALIAN. here are the results-

The guys on the screen are: Gianfranco Chicco, Michael Tabolsky, Andrey Golub, Angelo Sampietro, Diego Bustos and Alessandro Morelli.

Keywords: Andrey Golub, Angelo Sampietro, Diego Bustos, Gianfranco Chicco, Michael Tabolsky, Spock, Spock Tags, Web 2.0, Who is who, killer application, Alessandro Morelli

  1. So are you just going to tease us or are you going to tell us where the language data is pulled from?

As I've mentioned to you in your ambassador role, I'm looking forward to importing contact data without having to hand over passwords. The Urls also leave a lot to be desired.

  2. Sean,

I've submitted your feature request to Spock Team's queue for development, and they told me it was already in their road-map. So Spock will take care of this kind of import as soon as they finish Outlook integration (current in-development feature) testing.

    I'll keep you updated.

  3. > your ambassador role

btw, Sean, I am not an "Ambassador" of Spock, I am just their Evangelist and it's a very different thing! In their org-model (Spock's expansion strategy), "Ambassador" is almost the same as "Country Manager"- it's a payed figure that's resp. for the local market.

in my case, I just love this project so I am one of its supporters! You know me quite good, I believe, to understand that I could not miss such a great project as Spock :)

but I am in the same conditions as A.Falzin for Viadeo for example :) [to get some good reasons for fighting against LinkedIn in Italy through his Milan-IN role].
So my "attacks" on Wikipedia, like in my Blog for example this article about Vittorio Pasteris, it's not because Spock "has asked me to fight against the WP", but because I do not really love the behavior of Wikipedia's Support Team. At least how do they position the WIKI in Italy.
And you know why :),- Milan-IN also had some stupid problems with wiki-mind-builders :(
