The next Business Partner for MilanIN will be our Member's company?
I am very happy to confirm it's becoming a usual agenda for the most unplanned meetings of the Org-Team of MilanIN, that somebody from the Club Members invites one/few MilanIN co-founders to present his/her company, some essential product/service they sell, and also to propose the partnerships for MilanIN! Yesterday night it was my big pleasure to meet Alfonso Mariniello and to hear his idea about how we could fortify MilanIN's Marketing group with a new platform for newsletter/ e-mailing campaign, feed-back collecting, etc. I think we've already achieved an agreement and probably will present you soon this important change in the MilanIN Org-Team's life. Thank you Alfonso for your initiative! I hope it will be the great example for the other Club Members of what the real Club-spirit means! Everybody: Come to MilanIN, contact one of co-founders or Org-Team Members, or directly MilanIN President Pier Carlo Pozzati, if you think you or your company has a service/product/yourself that could be useful for the Club's activity. We'll speak and define how the Club could “pay-it-back” to you! LET'S MAKE MILANIN SERVICE BETTER, ALL TOGETHER NOW !

BLOODY WEDNESDAY: The Donors' Party in Milan :)
Few days ago I've got this invitation via e-mail: sei invitato al BLOODY WEDNESDAY: la festa dei donatori di sangue offerta da COMPANY_X. Ci troveremo GIORNO_X dalle ore 21:00 presso LUOGO_X.
Well, I will come there for sure! Because I am a regular blood donor so why to not meet the others :). But first of all because it seems to be really funny- a huge amount of donors put together for a night party :=) Also their “bring a friend with you”, repeated two times, and the second times they stress “a friend who is gonna become donor”. The question is: to become donor RIGHT THERE ON THE PARTY? :=) Does not it remain you anything? ;) That's the point, “Blade- the night patrol”. Hope to meet there nice vampires and, if so much lucky, also W. Snipes (he is my favorite afro-american actor!)

The first draft of "MilanIN Ethics Manifesto", from Marco Marzagalli
I think Marco Marzagalli is “the most concrete” of the others MilanIN Org-Team Members, and he is also one of the few people I know in Italy, that are not only able to make born some new ideas (most Italians are great to invent the things!), but also to bring the dreams to life! This time however Marco has surprised me, and that was a very pleasant surprise... We're since recently discussing to introduce an ethics and behavioral policy for MilanIN Club, and a day ago Marco told us “give me one day and I'll come back with a draft/vision of that document”. The first nice thing was that somebody has finally taken initiative to “try to realize this idea” (not an easy one!), and also because having promised to come back soon with a draft, the same evening there was ready an article from Marco! I AM PROUD TO WORK IN THE SAME TEAM WITH MARCO! The same is true about the most MilanIN co-founders and important Org-Team Members, but this particular fanfare is dedicated to Marco Marzagalli :=)
The important point is that I do not pretend to introduce now here the “MilanIN ethics manifesto” (as I liked to call the first draft of the future MilanIN behavioral and ethics policy), since the project is still under heavy discussions and also because it's not my creature.

Non ci credo proprio. ROMA: Il permesso e` valido fino al rinnovo?
I think it was always one of the biggest shame for Italy in respect of emmigrants! The missed human rights that will be probably given back now to the people "attending the renewal of their permit-of-stay document"? ...

The visit of Amit Mendelsohn to Milan: we start working on MilanIN-TV Project!
Yesterday night, me, Michael and Pier Carlo had a meeting with an important MilanIN Member, the proven expert around Web-TV technologies Amit Mendelsohn. We were speaking about how to finally realize the dream of MilanIN President, to implement the complex organizational and technological project that we call internally MilanIN-TV. It's not yet the time to share details of the MilanIN-TV Project, you'll see it all yourself quite soon. We are sure that with MilanIN-TV the Club will become even much popular (famous?) in Italy and outside. Why we believe it will be possible? That's easy- because we have a great Team within the Club! That's because we have our President that has always the great dreams only :=), because there is Michael and me with the years of experience around IPTV (that's in fact a much heavy technology and business model than WebTV !), of course because we now have Amit on board together with his technical/business expertise, and also we have Venanzio- the VP of MilanIN that's a “traditional” TV content producer/owner/provider in his recent past. Also for sure it's because we have the great auditory to work for- The MilanIN Business Club! Well, now the biggest concern for MilanIN becomes our PERMANENT and properly equipped office location (meeting rooms, Internet access, etc). Nobody of us has the intention to be married forever with the Pacino Cafe, the great place for aperitif for us but this could not be an office at all. So any ideas ARE WELCOMED! ;)

The "passion at work" story
A very nice, funny and I believe useful presentation titled “Passion at work”, given to me by Alessandro as his feed-back to my recent “Looking for another job” article on MilanIN's Forum ;) I found it very interesting, and also the other advices from Alessandro for how to find for a “job of my dream”...

The first art-photos of Alex for MilanIN
The last Monday Alex, recently joined MilanIN Community, was taking some pictures during the event of self-presentation of Vittorio Orefice, and now we have his first trial artistic photos in our Gallery. HERE. There are few pictures (for the first time) but I was not expecting from Alex many but “easy” ones, since he is not a photographer but an art-professional. I believe the next time the things will be done even better. Bravo Alex!

599 Members!
It's such a pleasure to check the value of the counter of MilanIN Members on our Home Page :) We're 599 and it longs for 3 days already, but the previous 99 members (after the “500 members!” limit and news article) MilanIN has picked up in less than 2 month! I believe it's thanks to the great work of Pier Carlo, Andrea and Marco. I hope that tomorrow the "lucky" 600-th Member will join! ;) CONGRATULATIONS to everybody in the Club!

Finally Marco M. has updated his Linkedin profile, he added the MilanIN position so I could submit my endorsement to him. Writing Blog on MilanIN has become less headache :)
I am very happy that Michael has found yesterday a piece of free time to fix a small bug we had with WYSIWYG editor, used to write the Blog, editing MilanIN Member's Profile and etc (all elgg-related stuff). Now all RTF/HTML magic works, so everyone is re-invited to fill the profile and to write the Blog! ;)надо

The Monday-night Event of Sergio Saibene
- The last Monday there was the “full house” at Pacino Cafe, because of the famous speaker, Club Member presenting his life-story and working projects, Sergio Saibene.
- The subject of discussion could not attract attention, so lots (really lots!) of Members have come. Those people were not disappointed I am sure,- it's also because of the talent of Sergio to make interesting and easy-to-listen presentations, explain “on the fingers” very serious things...
- You feel quickly that Sergio is the man of great experience, he was telling to us while smiling, that all Business Plan building rules we study at MBA are for our Professors only :), and no one reads these “details” to decide if to give you money or not... And the stuff like that, you'll never hear it at a University or read in a classical book of Finance Management.
-
- I was impressed with the numbers of “hints from personal experience” that Sergio has shared with MilanIN Members, it's everything as a massive attack of important information, each phrase could be written to a good book for novice and dreamers to find Investors :)
- Well, I wish we have many other such interesting and exciting Events at MilanIN! And it was also a pleasure that Sergio has remained very happy with what there has happened. He has sent a message to the Org-Team and I have his permission to share this info with the others, and the best piece of that message was “speriamo di poter ripetere l'esperienza in futuro.”
-
- Bravo Sergio, bravo MilanIN! ;)
-
- P.S. Here is the "Angel" of MilanIN, the other pictures from the Event are available in our Gallery, HERE. Big thanx to ALEX for the great job !!!

The first code submission by Victor for MilanIN Web Platform project!
- Today it was the day of a very important happening for the life of IT Team of MilanIN: our recent Team Member, Victor Borisevich, has submitted his first code for the MilanIN Web Platform Project!
- I am more than happy about this :)
-
- I do not want to tell it here what exactly he has done, just that it was an important fix for eGroupware's embedded CMS.
- This fix, as the other developments/ fixings done by the IT Team of MilanIN, will be available (at least for now) only for MilanIN's fork of eGroupWare, that's the knowledge sharing and community collaborative working suite for Social Business Networking groups.
-
- Bravo Victor! Towards to the Glory!!! :=)

The Member's Home Page on MilanIN Web Platform
Since Michael has recently fixed some RTF/HTML stuff here, I decided to start building my Member's Home Page on MilanIN... Why not? We do have this feature working fine now, so why should one have to store his/her personal/ professional story on some geocities and yahoo sites if he/she is a MilanIN Business Club Member? Of course those having personal Web Sites could continue not using this nice feature of MilanIN Web Platform! ;) For those Members that still do not know Personal Member's Page exist, here is my example, I'll be probably updating it in the future: http://www.milanin.com/members/andrey.golub/home/ P.S. Member's Home Page is not the same as the one's Profile on MilanIN, which is here on my example: http://www.milanin.com/members/andrey.golub/ (Profile- is a short summary of information about you, Home Page- is whatever you want it to be )

Funny President (of Belarus), as by my friend Dima Sheiko
I read today in the Blog of my friend from Belarus, Dima Sheiko, the strings that can not leave me indifferent to the politics of my native country, Belarus... It's such a pain to know there is no improvement in the political situation in that country... I am not going to comment these strings, you know it's the crime in Belarus to defame your country (everything one can tell about what's is wrong in the country- is THE LIE, and telling the lie about your country- is the CRIME). Please make the conclusions by yourself... Read Dima's Blog or just follow the news about Belarus :) The article is here: http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-slmTDMQ1aK7_sq74vDGb?p=236 Bravo Dima, you're much stronger than me...

Tamara De Lempicka
- The last Thursday my wife has organized our visit ov an art show: Tamara De Lempicka gallery at “Palazzo Reale” in Milan.
- At the beginning I was not very happy to “lose” an evening with such time-spending, but at the end I had to say big thanks to Oksana (my wife) for this event. There is something very particular in the drawings of Tamara D.L., the colors look a bit more strong and warm than in the real life, the shapes seems to be more sharp and contrast than in the real life.
- Also the scenes of her drawings are all very attractive. I liked the things I've seen, its was really nice!
-
 -
- The other comment (less serious) would be to advice visiting of such kind of events to the young and single guys, since the quantity and the “quality” of the girls coming to see the art is very high! :)

MilanIN and Google
Last Saturday, during the planned co-founders' brainstorming session, I was demonstrating to Pier Carlo that Google “knows” MilanIN already good enough, and we immediately found another great prove of it: we just tried to search for the complete names (name+surname inside <”>) of the people that were presenting themselves recently to MilanIN Members, and we saw that for the most speakers Google brings AS THE FIRST RESULT MilanIN's pages! Take a look at Sergio Saibene's google query or Luca Zambrelli's or Pietro Martani's one. Of course for such “web famous” people like Eric Le Bihan we could not achieve exactly the same results, but we're at least mentioned in their “award list” :) - Not too bad, right?! ;)
-
- Well, since MilanIN has become such familiar with Web Search Engines, even w/o a strong Web Promotion strategy implemented [only thanks to Web Site content (Home Page, News, Blogs)?], I think we should definitely do a next step.
- Taking into account that MilanIN has among its members such strong and famous professionals like Sean Carlos, the SEO, we should take a look at this issue. Let's see!

Born4shop outlet on-line
- The idea seems to be simple and I want to check if it works.
- I read in a newspaper yesterday about the first Italian outlet on-line: born4shop. They call it “Club-Outlet”, that means it's not just an e-commerce web site but also a community (at least it should be so, from their article ).
-
- Probably it will work better than e-bay for Italy since the medium people here do not trust so much to e-shopping...
-
- So, MilanIN Members and not only, is there anybody already a member of the born4shop? Could one plz invite me to there?
- Big thanks in advance!

MilanIN Chat
Finally another person has asked us about a Chat application for MilanIN Members! I was waiting for this to happen for one year, not less :))) Otherwise Michael did not believe me that the Chat could be useful also for this community (it's the Business Community, not students)! Pier Carlo, MilanIN President, was always asking me about a Chat, but since he is not a heavy Forum/Platform user, we've once put an easy chat for MilanIN Members and it was enough. As Michael says: if nobody uses it- it could be something easy, until the normal Club Members ask for something else. Now they are asking :)

I've almost forgotten to re-broadcast this event :) I am going to come. Is anybody else interested? 1 Dicembre 2006 - Il ruolo dell'ICT e del CIO nell'innovazione di impresa Aula Rogers, Politecnico di Milano, Via Ampere 2, Milano Osservatorio: CIO
