It’s finally here. Later today, Dell will offer U.S customers three different systems with Ubuntu 7.04 installed: the XPS 410n and Dimension E520n desktops and the Inspiron E1505n notebook. Well, at least for the first year I would rather refrain from giving a "good" or "bad" definition to this news. It is too complicated case to give any certain feedback on. One thing is certain, it will bring changes into "linux on desktop" but the rest is misty.
At the end, dell is making money, it is not a friend of Linux, it is a friend of it's bank and shareholders. So don't be excited. More news to follow soon from ones who will buy these computers.
P.S. *buntu is a commercial and Dell is even . IMHO.
