ODF goes ISO

Open document format is accepted into ISO at 30.11.2006. Even if we all knew it's going to happen soon, it's still good to know the thing is real now.
What it gives us? Well it gives us a hope that one day we will have "standard" document exchange between organizations equally good supported by different applications.

P.S. The ones who was on another planet during office suits battles: ODF is the most welcome format in Free Software world and is opposed to Microsoft family of formats (.doc,.xls,.ppt,etc.)
P.P.S. Microsoft formats are not accepted by ISO, who needs to be ISOed anyway, if you have a monopoly?

Keywords: documents, iso, microsoft, monopoly, ms, openoffice, standards
